From Ashes to Abundance: Yangmingshan Eco-Trail

Visit a green-certified flower farm shaped by Yangmingshan's volcanic soil

About this experience

Follow a trail across Yangmingshan to a flower farm certified for green conservation, grown on some of the most fertile volcanic soil in Taiwan. What's in bloom changes with the season: calla lilies in spring, hydrangeas in early summer, daylilies by late summer, each grown by farmers working with the mountain's ecology rather than against it. Along the way, learn how centuries of volcanic ash became some of Taiwan's richest farmland, and why this farm chose conservation certification over conventional growing.
